What Are Cuban Sandwich Cigars?
What Is A Chinchal?
Dr. Gaspar Jorge García Galló, in his classic Biography of Habano Tobacco1, defines CHINCHAL as a workshop or small tobacco factory, almost always with family characteristics and surroundings. These small workshops, established in a shack near the bohío del guajiro, appeared in Cuba at the dawn of the 19th century to satisfy the demand for tobacco from the family itself and later that of its immediate environment so that the process of marketing its products started completely naturally and not induced.
While we’ve always been sad to see one of our premium cigars end, Cuban Sandwich cigars allow us to continue offering our customers a premium smoking experience but at a much lower price. We take the remains of our premium cigars and hand-wrap them with top-quality Nicaraguan tobacco for the filler and binder.
